Owner & Lead Instructor

I’m a Marine Corps infantry veteran, EMT, and EMT instructor with a background rooted in service, discipline, and real-world problem solving. I founded Summit View Survival & Preparedness to help individuals and families build the skills and confidence needed to handle emergencies—whether in the wilderness or at home.

My experience spans military service, emergency medical training, and years of hands-on work in demanding environments. Throughout that time, one thing has remained constant: training matters more than gear, and preparation beats reaction every time.

After transitioning out of the military, I focused on building a life centered around family, service, and community. That drive led me to create a company where I can continue serving others—this time by teaching practical, applicable skills that can make a real difference when it counts.

Hello, my name is Grace Martin, and I’m proud to be part of the instructional team at Summit View Survival & Preparedness.

Growing up in Wichita, Kansas, I developed an appreciation for hard work, community service, and being prepared for the unexpected. Living in the Midwest showed me how quickly emergencies can happen, from storms to medical situations where quick action matters.

I graduated from the University of Washington in Spring 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health: Global Health on a pre-med track. Today, I continue to build on that foundation as an EMT and instructor, combining medicine, education, preparedness, and the outdoors.

Preparedness is more than gear or certifications. It is about building confidence, practical skills, and the mindset to respond when challenges arise. That is what drew me to Summit View Survival & Preparedness and its mission of helping people become capable.

I look forward to sharing emergency medicine, wilderness first aid, and preparedness skills.
